MD, MPH, FACOG, is the Executive Director of the DuPont Clinic

Matthew Reeves, MD, MPH, FACOG, serves as the Executive Director of the DuPont Clinic, a facility dedicated to delivering patient-centered abortion care throughout all trimesters. Holding adjunct faculty positions at George Washington University School of Medicine, Stanford University School of Medicine, and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Dr. Reeves is a highly qualified professional.

As a graduate of Harvard Medical School, Dr. Reeves completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He furthered his expertise with a Fellowship in Clinical Ultrasound at UCSF, followed by a Fellowship in Complex Family Planning at the University of Pittsburgh.

As a Fellow of both the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Society of Family Planning, Dr. Reeves has contributed significantly to the field. His prior roles include serving as the Chief Medical Officer for WomanCare Global and as the Medical Director for the National Abortion Federation. Currently, he plays an active role on the Clinical Affairs Committee of the Society of Family Planning and the Committee on Clinical Practice Guidelines for Gynecology of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists. Dr. Reeves continues to make valuable contributions as a respected Fellow in both the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Society of Family Planning.

Dr. Alice Kaaria, a specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology, boasts two decades of clinical expertise, coupled with over 12 years dedicated to reproductive and maternal health programming within non-profit organizations. In addition to her role as a university lecturer and in-service trainer in obstetrics and gynaecology, Dr. Kaaria is deeply committed to advocating for the sexual and reproductive health of low-income, marginalized, and underserved communities, as well as women and girls with disabilities.

With a focus on evidence-based sexual and reproductive health information, Dr. Kaaria champions messaging that revolves around universal rights and reproductive justice. Her efforts are directed towards ensuring access to the highest quality maternal, neonatal, child, and adolescent reproductive healthcare. Serving on the Board of Directors for the Reproductive and Maternal Health Consortium – Kenya, she provides technical and financial support to entities such as the Department of Reproductive and Maternal Health, Youth Health Organization, and Women Spaces Africa. These organizations work towards advocating for reproductive information and healthcare accessibility for women and girls with disabilities.

In her capacity as a consultant for the Kenya Ministry of Health's Department of Reproductive and Maternal Health, Dr. Kaaria actively contributes to the development of national public health policy, standards, and clinical protocols. She also serves as a master trainer, imparting her wealth of knowledge and experience to others in the field.

Associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology

Tesfaye Tufa holds the position of associate professor in obstetrics and gynecology, specializing in family planning and reproductive health. In 2019, he successfully completed a research fellowship at the World Health Organization, where he played a crucial role in the evidence synthesis team for the development of the 2022 WHO guideline on abortion care. With a wealth of over twelve years of international experience in reproductive health, Tesfaye focuses on research, policy, and programmatic initiatives. Presently, he serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Ottawa and works as a research consultant at the World Health Organization.

Gynecologist

Dr Laura is a gynecologist from the National University of Colombia, with a diploma in Research in Sexual and Reproductive Health in Developing Countries from the World Health Organization. She is the Co-founder and director of the Medical Group for the Right to Decide, Colombia, spokesperson for the Causa Justa movement, a member of the Safe Abortion Committee of FIGO (International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics), an advisor to the Sexual and Reproductive Rights Committee of FLASOG (Latin American Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology Societies), and a member of the scientific committee of FECOLSOG (Colombian Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology Societies).
